Historical Vego 1.0 source and world snapshot. The archive contains 102 regular files, including C source and headers, compressed world and help files, bulletin boards, build artifacts and utility programs. The unchanged vego.readme companion describes the collection copy as a pre-Merc-2.0 derivative and warns that save.c appears to be missing.

License and attribution
Source headers retain DikuMUD copyright notices and refer to license.doc. Merc enhancement notices require retaining their copyright notice. VEGO/lib/credits.txt.gz identifies the inherited authors and Vego-era contributors. No standalone full license document was found in this archive. The Merc enhancement wording does not replace the inherited DikuMUD terms or establish rights to all world data and other contributions. Licensing evidence is incomplete and distribution approval remains pending. Preserve all source headers and compressed credits unchanged.

Compatibility warning
The companion README reports missing save.c and SPARC object files. This is an incomplete historical source snapshot, not a verified ready-to-run server. Modern compiler, operating-system and architecture compatibility are unverified. No bundled binary has been executed.

Privacy and security warning
The original contains compressed bulletin-board and runtime text files, compiled object files, and utility binaries. Historical board messages and runtime content need separate privacy review. No malware-free or security-audited claim is made. Review historical runtime data and utilities before use.

A download checksum confirms file integrity, not security or runtime compatibility. Review the source and included documentation before running unfamiliar software.
