License notice

README allows free use, redistribution and modification if comments remain. changes.h requires Xkilla credit and includes broader Shadow Wars CREATORS/greeting preservation language. Retain both notices; do not silently discard their differing scope.

Compatibility and security warnings

Staff/public change-log module, not the already staged new_changes.c. Contains a single clearly labeled sample change, not a live player database. Test save/load bounds, deletion and immortal-only visibility. Instructions include a do_cheidt spelling mismatch. Do not overwrite an existing changes.dat blindly.

Original bytes and included notices are preserved. Not compiled, executed, boot-tested or comprehensively security-audited. Historical contact addresses may no longer work. Archive validation is not malware clearance or redistribution approval.

A download checksum confirms file integrity, not security or runtime compatibility. Review the source and included documentation before running unfamiliar software.

Attribution stays with the work.
