License and attribution
Bundled DikuMUD, Merc and release-specific ROM terms apply, including noncommercial restrictions, preserved notices, login/help credits, naming restrictions and applicable notification requirements. These are not unrestricted-use licenses. Historical contact details may no longer work; distribution permission remains for staff review.

SunderMUD is based on ROM 2.3, not ROM 2.4. Preserve SunderMUD login credits, naming restrictions and all inherited terms. The standalone 1.0 notice requires an email; the consolidated 2.x notice strikes that old-address requirement and requests notification instead.

The bundled Intermud-3 license adds source/binary notice, advertising acknowledgement and non-endorsement requirements, and refers to additional i3.txt conditions. Preserve those terms alongside the other licenses.

Compatibility and safety warnings
Historical software, not compiled, boot-tested or security-audited by Mudhaven. Modern compiler, operating-system and save/world compatibility is unverified. Review all scripts and runtime defaults before deployment; no malware-free assurance.

The original setup scripts are documented as unreliable across systems. Review crypt/zlib dependencies, manual configuration and historical runtime files before deployment.

A download checksum confirms file integrity, not security or runtime compatibility. Review the source and included documentation before running unfamiliar software.

Attribution stays with the work.
