Original new_changes.c source for displaying a separate changes text file without restarting the game. It uses a configured CHANGES_FILE path, fread_string, and paged output through dynamic buffers. License and attribution Retain Rahl’s name and notify the author by email as required by the source notice. Underlying code and dependency licenses remain applicable. Compatibility warning The input file must end with the expected tilde terminator. Review missing or malformed input handling, paths, and buffer integration. This is a historical code snippet, not a ready-to-run program. Historical software warning Mudhaven has not compiled, boot-tested, or security-audited this material.
