About this resource
Original easnip9612.tgz collection from December 1996. This later Erwin collection includes copyover support, dynamic string buffers, file-based class levels, updated bulletin boards and reset and social editors, plus small diagnostic helpers. Six nested TGZ bundles remain intact. Bundled versions are not necessarily identical to similarly named standalone releases. This is integration material, not a complete game server. License and attribution Credit Erwin S. Andreasen and all DikuMUD, Merc, ROM and other component contributors named in the files. Included terms require retaining the author’s name and notifying him by email when using the code. The copyover component also requires an in-game help-entry credit. Preserve each component’s copyright and license notices and comply with applicable inherited licenses, including referenced documents distributed with the destination codebase. Historical contact addresses may no longer work. No additional redistribution permission is asserted. Compatibility and operational warning Different components target different historical versions and require manual integration. Copyover depends on correct handling of open connections, saved state and process restart behavior. Back up game and class data and test persistence carefully before deployment. Restrict editing and administrative commands to authorized staff. Mudhaven has not compiled, boot-tested or security-audited this material, and modern compiler and operating-system compatibility is unverified.
