Merc 2.2 Windows binaries

Historical Lordorm Windows 95 and NT 4.0 port of stock Merc 2.2, supplied as an executable with its Cygnus runtime DLL. The original mercw32.zip includes merc.exe, cygwin.dll, the README and license documentation. It is not the nested MERCW32.ZIP distributed inside mercserver.zip.

License and attribution

The archive includes the DikuMUD license. Merc and bundled Cygnus runtime redistribution terms and any corresponding-source obligations remain unresolved. No blanket redistribution permission is inferred. Preserve all bundled notices and obtain licensing review before publication.

Compatibility and security warnings

Binary package, not server source. Contains merc.exe and cygwin.dll. Designed for Windows 95 and NT 4.0; modern compatibility is unverified. Do not follow the old README's system-directory DLL installation instructions on a modern host. No execution, boot test or malware-free certification has been performed.
