Read or copy
This 85-file distribution retains Merc 1.0 source, world data, and documentation with the compatibility changes credited to Samson in its README. The filename's cleaned label belongs to the supplied historical distribution; Mudhaven has not cleaned, modernized, or repacked it. Merc terms appear in merc/README.TXT; the inherited Diku license is merc/doc_diku/license.doc. Startup instructions include a privileged initial-administrator mode that must not be exposed to players. Historical documentation and contact details may be obsolete. Compatibility and security Historical C/Unix source updated for GCC4 in 2006. Current compiler and operating-system compatibility is unverified. Not compiled, boot-tested, or security-audited by Mudhaven. Licensing The bundled Diku terms include restrictions on commercial use and distribution charges, preservation of notices, publication and operation notifications, and login/credits attribution. Merc terms and contributor-specific notices also apply. Diku's later LGPL announcement does not automatically relicense derivative work. This description is not permission evidence; read the included documents before use or redistribution.
