License notice

Share-and-enjoy wording but no explicit standalone license grant. Preserve author message and establish applicable mudlib/driver terms before approval.

No independent permission notice in the configuration; its relation to the daemon is technical evidence, not a separate rights grant.

Compatibility and security warnings

Historical LPC service dispatcher, not Unix inetd C source. Depends on socket.h, nameserver and finger/mail/tell handler daemons not all included in this two-file listing. Review network exposure, service authorization, message limits, callback state and old comment/syntax constructs. Do not install into OS service configuration.

265-byte text configuration for finger/tell/mail LPC handlers. Pair with inetd.c as an unchanged companion; not a system /etc/inetd.conf and not a runnable server.

Original bytes and included notices are preserved. Not compiled, executed, boot-tested or comprehensively security-audited. Historical contact addresses may no longer work. Archive validation is not malware clearance or redistribution approval.

Compatibility

LPmud / Snippets; modern compatibility unverified.

A download checksum confirms file integrity, not security or runtime compatibility. Review the source and included documentation before running unfamiliar software.

Attribution stays with the work.

License

Historical contributor and inherited terms; licensing review required
