Original EnvyMUD 1.0 source and world release with platform makefiles, developer documentation and DikuMUD, Merc and Envy notices.
About this resource
EnvyMUD 1.0, dated 30 June 1994, derives from Merc 2.2. This unchanged original archive contains 120 regular files with C source, world areas, platform makefiles and developer documentation. License and attribution The bundled doc/license.doc, doc/license.txt and doc/license.nvy contain the DikuMUD, Merc and Envy terms. They include inherited noncommercial and notification conditions, retained copyright and license text, Diku credits, and required Merc and Envy help text. Preserve contrib.txt and all individual contributor notices. These are not unrestricted public-domain terms. Distribution approval remains pending. Compatibility and security warning This is historical source, not a verified modern deployment. Platform makefiles and startup scripts require inspection before isolated testing. Mudhaven has not compiled, boot-tested or security-audited it. Sample player-format documentation is not an operational account. No security or malware-free guarantee is made.
Compatibility
Historical C and Unix build environment. Modern compiler, operating-system and network compatibility unverified.
A download checksum confirms file integrity, not security or runtime compatibility. Review the source and included documentation before running unfamiliar software.
Attribution stays with the work.
License
Bundled DikuMUD, Merc and Envy terms; licensing review pending
