Original dirt31.tar.gz; its included README identifies DIRT 3.1.2. The separate 838-byte README is a historical directory index covering Dirt 3.1, AberEd, Linkdead and bulletin material, not a package-wide license or documentation for later releases. Credits and licensing Preserve the noncommercial conditions, original author credits and reserved-name request, together with all source notices. The directory-index companion provides provenance and attribution, not a new redistribution grant. Compatibility and security warnings Includes old restart/admin utilities, configured privileged names and password-related macros. Review configuration before use and do not assume contemporary compiler or account-security compatibility. The companion explicitly gives no guarantee that the code works or is bug-free.
