Original DaleMUD.3.0.tar.gz containing a SillyMUD-derived source/world package. The README identifies version 3.0 and mentions an unreleased 4.0; that does not make this archive version 4.0. Documentation is described as outdated. License warning Preserve every bundled copyright, credit and component notice. The DikuMUD license is not an unrestricted-use license: the included text states noncommercial/no-distribution-charge, notification and attribution conditions. Distribution permission and fulfillment of applicable terms require review; historical availability is not permission. Historical contacts may be obsolete. Mike Wilson's README disclaims personal copyright claims, but does not remove inherited or third-party obligations. CircleMUD mail source credits Johns Hopkins University and references a license; no separate CircleMUD license document was found. The Dan Brumleve VT100 header contains a restriction on unauthorized distribution without the SillyMUD permission sentence present in the other two archives. Retain these notices and resolve their scope before approval. BSD-derived code and Jeremy Elson's banner code also retain their own attribution requirements. Runtime-data warning Examined player and board placeholders are empty. Nonempty historical staff-access records and an access-list file remain, along with a one-byte saved-object placeholder.
