CircleMUD Three Areas - Chess, Graye, and Temple of the Bull

Three historical CircleMUD areas by Bill Pelletier: Chess, Graye, and Temple of the Bull. Original 3areas.zip, including nested archives, author documentation, and redistribution notice, preserved unchanged.

Included Content

Read or copy

An original historical collection of three areas for CircleMUD builders. This is world data, not a complete MUD server.

Included areas
Chess: an unusual area originally begun as an addition to Moria.
Graye: forest, cliffs, a town, a small castle, underground passages, and mid-level creatures and equipment.
Temple of the Bull: the author documents 22 rooms, 7 mobiles, 10 regular objects, and 4 god objects; written March 1994.

Original archive
The download is the original 3areas.zip, unchanged. It contains README, chess.zip, graye.zip, totb.zip, and the original FTP-site notice. The nested archives contain world, mobile, object, zone, and documentation files. No files were removed, renamed, or modified.

Permissions and attribution
The included README allows redistribution provided the README accompanies the areas. It permits modifications while requiring author signs and references to remain intact and readable by players, and asks users to email the author if they use the areas. Preserve those conditions and consult the original README; historical contact details may no longer work.

Compatibility
Historical material, not a ready-to-run hosting template. Mudhaven checked archive integrity and contents but has not boot-tested the areas or verified modern compatibility. Downloaders are responsible for choosing suitable zone numbers, resolving conflicts, adapting data, and testing installation. Back up an existing world before installing additional areas.
