DikuMUD by Katja Nyboe, Tom Madsen, Hans Henrik Staerfeldt, Michael Seifert, and Sebastian Hammer. Preserve the historical Shadowrun/FASA/WizKids notices. License warning The included doc/LICENSE contains the AwakeMUD Public License plus CircleMUD and DikuMUD terms. Preserve all licenses and copyright notices unchanged. Included terms prohibit material profit from use or distribution, require the original credits text to remain intact, and require login attribution including AwakeMUD/version and Rift, Flynn and Fastjack. Inherited terms also contain notification requirements. The historical Shadowrun/FASA/WizKids notices must remain, but attribution alone is not evidence of permission to redistribute third-party setting material. Do not treat historical availability as unrestricted permission. Licensing approval remains unresolved. Archive and runtime-data warnings Contains two compiled ELF utilities (lib/world/dos2unix and lib/world/testeoln), saved-player object files, runtime state and a nonempty restart log. Two stale editor-lock symlinks refer to historical user/host/process targets that are not included files. The lib/etc/players and lib/etc/plrmail files are empty, but this does not establish that other members are free of personal or operational data. Do not expose or reuse old runtime state, run bundled utilities, or extract untrusted archives with elevated privileges. Historical links must not be blindly followed. Compatibility and safety warnings Documentation targets old Linux/glibc and FreeBSD installations with GNU make. The supplied autorun script is described as launching under gdb. Modern toolchain and platform compatibility are unverified. Mudhaven has not compiled, boot-tested, malware-scanned or comprehensively security-audited this material. Matching hashes establish byte identity, not safety or distribution rights. Historical contact details may no longer work.
Compatibility
Historical C++ source for old Linux/glibc and FreeBSD with GNU make; modern compiler, library and operating-system compatibility unverified.
A download checksum confirms file integrity, not security or runtime compatibility. Review the source and included documentation before running unfamiliar software.
Attribution stays with the work.
