AberEd - Historical Dirt Zone Editor
DOS Dirt zone editor with source, help files, mlj_edit and legacy runtime components.
About this resource
Includes the original editor source, DOS executables, help, documentation, mlj_edit and DJGPP/runtime material. Credits and licensing The editor documentation permits unchanged redistribution only with all files, help, documentation and source, and requests author notification. mlj_edit also asks that all files be retained. DJGPP/GNU components have separate terms; copying.dj includes information-source obligations when distributing DJGPP binaries. Preserve all supplied notices. Do not label the entire package simply GPL or assume all distribution conditions are fulfilled. Compatibility and security warnings Contains three DOS MZ executables including go32 and compiled object files. The editor component documents lack of array bounds checks. Review the source and old runtime before use; modern compatibility and safe execution are unverified. Original bytes and included notices are preserved. Archive integrity checks are not a malware clearance or comprehensive security audit. Mudhaven has not compiled or boot-tested this historical package.
Compatibility
DOS; historical Dirt zone formats. Not tested on modern systems.
A download checksum confirms file integrity, not security or runtime compatibility. Review the source and included documentation before running unfamiliar software.
Attribution stays with the work.
License
Unchanged redistribution conditions; separate DJGPP/GNU terms
